Due to the humid and warm climate of our area, pets living in J\u00e1vea and Marina Alta are at high risk of contracting it if they are not properly protected throughout the year. <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\">This disease is silent and affects the heart and lungs, showing symptoms such as chronic cough, tiredness or difficulty breathing when it is already advanced.
